Licence Conversion - FAA to JAA
All flight hours depicted are based on normal student progress. If more training hours are needed, this will be paid separately.
Special familiarization course is required for flying on DA-40 and DA-42NG aircraft, as they are equipped with EFIS, electronic flight instruments.
It is assumed that a student has earned the following licenses and ratings before starting his flight training with Keilir:
Commercial Pilot License with instrument rating issued by the FAA
- Multi Engine Rating issued by the FAA.
- Night rating.
In addition the following minimum flight experience is required:
- At least 200 hrs total flight time.
- At least 50 hrs PIC X-C.
- At least 100 hrs PIC, whereof at least 20 hrs are Cross Country with at least ONE 300 nm flight with TWO intermediate stops. This shall be endorsed in the students logbook.
4 hrs are planned for Flight Tests using DA-40 and DA-42.
The prices are based on payment up front before flight training begins.

Fees for Skill Tests are included, referring to ICAA price list dated 1. July 2009. In case the price list changes before the test is performed, the student is responsible for paying the difference in price.
