Keilir Aviation Academy took part in the Reykjavík Airshow on 5 June, organized by the National Aero Club of Iceland.
Keilir was present at the airshow showing DA-42NG Twin Star and DA20-C1 Eclipse aircraft. The general public was invited to take a seat in the cockpit, ask the instructors questions
about the aircraft and how to become a pilot.
The public showed great interest in the show, and the DA-42NG was without doubt one of the main attractions as guests swarmed the aircraft examining all the new technology incorporated in the Diamond design. This was the first time a Twin Star is displayed in an airshow in Iceland.
TF-FIZ, A Boeing 757-200 from Icelandair came in for a landing and took off again as part of the airshow. It is named after an Icelandic volcano called Keilir!
