Cabin Crew
Next courses for Cabin Crew members start on the 5th of September 2011. For the first time in Iceland, the Cabin Crew course is tought according to EU-OPS 1.1005 , and students graduate with an Initial Cabin Crew Safety Training Attestation which is valid in all countries that operate under the EU- regulation. The course is also evaluated to give unit-credit to the Icelandic "stúdentspróf", similar to college graduate. This is a first in the Icelandic education system.
The course takes place in the best possible facilities, theoretical and practical for Cabin Crew.
Entry requirements
A minimum of 18 years of age and not less than 70 unit-credits from a comprehensive college. Of those 70 unit-credits, a minimum of 9 shall be in English. All applicants will be evaluated according to former education and in some cases a deviation from the exact requirements may be considered if a part, or a complete former education is considered sufficient to fulfill the requirements.
A special note to foreign students: Differences in educational systems in other countries versus the Icelandic educational system will be evaluated on a case by case basis.
The complete course takes two semesters.
School Fees
The course fee is 195.000 IKR per semester. Included are all instruction, study and subject material, practial and type rating training. (B737/757/767)
Course Plan
The course completion takes two semesters. The first semester is for basic initial training. You can view the initial syllabus here. Training List The Fall semester startes on the 5th of September 2011and finishes on the 9th of December 2011.
The Spring semester starts on the 16th of January 2010 and finishes on the 20th of April 2011.
Theoretical instruction takes place during the day from 09:00 until 15:00 Mon-Fri. The Fall semester is mainly theoretical and most subjects finish with an exam and/or an assignement. The Spring semester is mostly based on practical training aimed at type rating training for certain aircraft. This part of the course takes place either at the practical training facility at Keilir or on board the aircraft of the Icelandic airlines cooperating with Keilir.
