Returning an Apartment
At the end of the lease contract the lessee need to return the apartment ready to be allocated for a new tenant. The lessee will receive a checklist to be followed when cleaning the apartment a few
days before the apartment should be returned. The lessee needs to book an appointment for the apartment to be inspected by a member of Keilir staff before returning the apartment, please do this with
a few days notice. The inspection is performed during the Keilir offices opening hours.
The lessee or someone on his/her behalf needs to be present during the inspection. If any remarks are made during the inspection concerning the condition of the apartment the lessee will need to
do the necessary repairments in accordance to those remarks or pay a fee for the cost of having the repairments made. The lessee will be given a few days notice in order to do this. Another
inspection will be made after that. If it will be necessary to perform a third inspection the lessee will have to pay kr. 5.000,-.
If a lessee leaves the apartment without having an inspection performed and the apartment is in good condition, the lessee wil be charged a fee of kr. 5.000,-. If the apartment needs to be
cleaned an additional fee will be charged. All keys of the apartments and mail boxes need to be returned to the Keilir offices if not the locks will be changed at the cost of the lessee.
The rent will be collected from the lessee until all keys have been returned and the inspection has been performed.
