Day 3
I. Coaching: From Good to Great & II. Metabolic/Density Training
Dave Jack

Morning Lecture
Coaching: From Good to Great

Lecture
The modern trainer is inundated with education relative to fitness and training from text books, certifying bodies and coaches from nearly all corners of the globe.  Many young and developing coaches are concentrating on the details of training and often overlook some key components of the bigger picture.  Coaching: From Good to Great, touches on the key role of a fitness professional, and how to develop a mindset and behaviors that will enable them to go from Good to Great.

Hands On

The hands on session explores several key topics outlined in the lecture portion of the material, and provides coaches with tools and insight through experiential learning to help evaluate and prioritize personal vision, goals, desired outcomes and criteria for success.

Afternoon Topic
Metabolic/Density Training - Creative training methods for effective, time conscious programming

Lecture
Metabolic training is neither a new concept, nor the end all be all of training, it is however an extremely effective way to train clients with diversified goals.  The lecture covers a basic outline of metabolic training, popular methods (including Escalating Density Training, or EDT popularized in the US by Charles Staley), programming considerations and real world applications for a coach’s client base.

Hands On
Attendees will be provided with the opportunity to experience various metabolic and density method protocols in an engaging training environment.  Be prepared to get after it!
